The Kilgore Film Festival of Kilgore, Texas began in 1998 under the sponsorship of KTPB, the former public radio station of Kilgore College.〔(2008, September 21). The festival is held at Kilgore's 4 Star Cinema. The festival is now sponsored by KZQX radio station and more information can be found on the radio station's Web site (). The festival in Spring 2010 begins Wednesday April 14 with The Last Station, a film about the life of Leo Tolstoy. The opening night of the festival offers a catered reception that includes snacks and a wine tasting provided by Kiepersol Estates and Vineyards in Tyler, Texas. Opening night will also feature a brief discussion about films included in the festival.
